Central Asian cuisine countries by Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. Local common spices  are cumin, coriander, and sumac. Uzbekistan's national dish is Plov, (rice pilaf with meat and carrots) and  Kazakhstan's  is Beshbarmak (boiled meat over flat noodles.)

A popular local refreshing drink from the region is Ayran,from Kazakhstan. (made from yogurt, water, and salt, often enjoyed during hot weather. Local fruits like Turkmen Melons and Barberries showcase the richness of the region.
