Key Ingredients

  • Sweetened condensed milk

  • Eggs

  • Milk

  • Caramelized sugar

Ingredients

For the Caramel:

  • 3 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp water

For the Custard:

  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 1 egg


Recipe for 2 persones:

  1. Prepare the Caramel:

    • In a small saucepan, melt the sugar and water over medium heat until golden brown, swirling the pan occasionally.

    • Pour the caramel into two small ramekins, coating the bottom evenly.

  2. Make the Custard:

    • In a bowl, whisk together the condensed milk, whole milk, and egg until smooth.

    • Pour the mixture over the caramel in the ramekins.

  3. Bake:

    • Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).

    • Place the ramekins in a baking dish and fill the dish with hot water halfway up the sides of the ramekins.

    • Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the custard is set but still jiggles slightly in the center.

  4. Cool and Serve:

    • Let the ramekins cool to room temperature, then chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

    • To serve, run a knife around the edges, invert onto a plate, and enjoy!
